Clair was my best friend in Nam. His nickname there was Bo. Great guy. I only spoke with him once since Vietnam. That was by phone. He was liked by all who knew and met him. Tough guy. Made my life better shortly after I met him at Hawk Hill in Nam. We ran convoys together. He was mostly gunner on our jeep. I am so very sorry to hear of his death. I never met his family which is my loss. You should know he saved my butt a couple of times in Vietnam.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Mr. Bee was a WTO instructor for DOCS when I met him in the early 1980's. He was a professional, fair and friendly. On occasion throughout the years with DOCS we had contact, Mr. Bee was always helpful and pleasant to talk to. Recently we communicated on Facebook it was good to hear from him. We never spoke of our war time service and I wish I had thank him for his service, I now know he was a hero. God Bless his entire family and God Bless Mr. Bee.

Greatly saddened at BoBo's passing. We were classmates and played football together @ NYMA. At the time his Dad, Clair Bee was Dir. of Athletics, and a great motivation to me. I was in contact with BoBo a short time ago, planning to get together, as my daughter and son-in-law live in Clifton Park. Sadly this will not occur. I will cherish his memory and the times we shared, he was truly a great man and I am proud to call him my friend. We served the people of NYS together, as life again proves that our lives are too short. Rest in Peace my Brother!

It is with a terribly heavy heart that I communicate my shock and sadness over the loss of your beloved husband and devoted father, and for me, a well liked and respected high school friend. It was just last week that I made calls to Clair's alumni number that the academy holds in its records to say hello, do some catching up after fifty years and invite him to join us at the academy next year in May for our landmark reunion. I am so sorry I was unable to connect with him and now that opportunity is lost. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family as I envision your hardship in losing the love of your life and your best friend. It has been my good fortune to have been with my wife for forty-five years and I consider myself blessed to the extreme. I hope that to ease the trauma and sadness of the moment you can devote your emotional energies to the wonderful memories and shared experiences you all enjoyed over the decades taking comfort in past happiness. My prayers are with you all. God Bless each one of you.

Clair, you will always be my friend. You told me once, you can not decide to sell your sailboat during winter from the comfort of your home. You have to be onboard. If one morning , anchored in a bay, you look around and you say to yourself this is it, then sell. Clair , i will never sell my sailboat. And i will always remember you, because your are still alive in my heart.
How many times have i walked to your sailboat asking for your advice, Clair , with this weather, should i leave the dock or not? And i would always listen because you were always right. Next time, i will look at the sky and ask you. And you will answer, and i will listen.
Your are my friend Clair, and you will always be.

Clair was working in building two when I first met him in 89. He was high up on the food chain so to speak, but the man always had a smile and greeted me with my first name and treated me as an equal. He never forgot what he started as. Through the years when he would visit the facilities, people and officers ran the other way, intimidated by the title he held. But he would always stop by my unit, sit on the desk and have a smoke. Never met a guy who was more honest about who he was and what he had done. My condolences to all of the family. He was a great guy and I will sorely miss his visits.
