BRIAN ROBERT SCHWENZFEIER Latham- Brian Robert Schwenzfeier, 30, of Latham, left this world to sing with the angels on Sunday June 5, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. Brian lived his life to the fullest each and every day, and was a truly inspiring light onto the world. Brian was a courageous, determined, witty, and talented man who never let his disability stand in his way. He loved singing and playing music and held a masters degree in music education from the College of St. Rose. He was a 2004 graduate of Shaker High School. Brian was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves and was thrilled at age 10 to go on a Make a Wish trip to meet the players and attend two games. He also loved yearly summer vacation trips to Stone Harbor, NJ with his family and friends as well as trips to Florida, London and Las Vegas. Brian taught private voice lessons and also taught at the Young Actors Guild at RPI. He currently volunteered for the Engeye Scholars program which fundraises for students' education in rural Uganda and was an active fundraiser and telethon regular for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Brian leaves behind his adored fiancé, Allana Roberts, his loving parents, Kevin and Anne Cox Schwenzfeier, brothers and best friends Kevin and wife Michaela Schwenzfeier, Matthew Schwenzfeier and girlfriend Sara Carroll, and Adam Schwenzfeier. Also surviving are his grandfather, Fred Schwenzfeier of Utica, aunts and uncles Eric and Michelle Schwenzfeier of East Greenbush, Michael Schwenzfeier of Florida, Kathy and Paul Ziarko of Sherrill, Mary Cox and Frank Paladino of Latham, Susan and Ed Casper of Whitesboro, and Robert Cox and Amy Pepe of Larchmont. Also surviving are his 16 cousins and many great aunts and uncles. Brian also leaves behind his beloved caregivers Kate and Erica Keville, Chris Elliott, Nicole Blais, and Helen Cerroni and his best canine friend, Lucy. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Elaine Schwenzfeier, Robert and Dorothy Cox, and cousin Amanda Casper. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd, Latham with Father Anthony Barrett officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
