Dad, you will be greatly missed by myself and my girls. We, especially me, have so many cherished memories that will never be forgotten. Rockport, Sanibel Island, Cape Cod, and the garden (somersaults) just to name a few. I love you very much!!! I can't wait to see you again. Love, Krista

Thank you Uncle Walter for making us feel so special and welcomed everytime we visited. My entire family has very fond memories of you at the farm in Washington and at the "governor's mansion" in Latham as Grampa (Heline) used to call it -- I wonder if you ever knew that o:). The passing of my father brings back many fond memories of all-night chess games, Harts, Cribbage, etc. The winter hunting trips and the time we left the comfort of a warm leanto at 10:00 pm to hike in the falling snow to the top of Blue Berry Mountain to wait for Jim to chase the deer our way in the morning. Well, we over slept, and Jim was almost to us by the time we had the tent down. Many more things could be said... I love my father and appreciate the many years we shared together. Thank you Dad... May Peace be with you... Love you, Steve

Walter was a wonderful man, usually with a smile on his face. I spent some great years with Walter in telecommunications and will always cherish the memories. BJ - my deepest sympathy. Although I didn't meet the rest of his family, you should all be very proud. He was an inspiration.
