My condolences to the Estep family. I remember spending many times at your residence like it was yesterday. Mrs. Estep was a very pleasant woman and a great mom. You all are thought of so often as I visit my parents and talk about the earlier years in that neighboorhood. My thougts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

I was from a small town a few miles away and moved here to attend school. Janet and I had good times. I remember meeting her family and going to her home in the South End of Peoria. Unfortunately, we lost touch when she moved, but I remember her fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Here is a Native American Prayer - "I'll give you this one thought to keep -I am with you still - I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone - I am with you still - in each new dawn.

Jan and her smile will be truly missed at the Estep/Guerrette gatherings. The Esteps should all be comforted by the legacy she has left behind. What a wonderful and kind woman was Janet. Though we only met her a few times, she was always just the kind of mother I would have expected of such a wonderful family. She was well loved by her children, grandchildren, and extended family. I will remember her spirit of joyful ness.
