Margie was a beautiful person. She knew me as Chela, Joaquin & Clarita's daughter, and I might as well have been her daughter, I know she loved me and my family so much. My memories of her will always revere her lovely soprano voice singing, "Oh, Happy Day". Another memory that came to me yesterday was that she was the first mom I ever saw nursing her child. She was holding her newborn baby Lisa, and I accidentally walked into the bedroom. She kindly asked for privacy. I quickly walked out of the room, but not without a strong sense of how important the bond between mother and child is.
