ELIZABETH E. FINN
Latham- Elizabeth "Beth" E. Finn, 77 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Paul Frederick Finn, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Community Hospice in Samaritan Hospital Troy with her family at her side.
Born in Watervliet on November 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Meade and Frances (Dahlem) Emery. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School.
Beth was employed with the NYS School Board Association as an Office Manager, a position she retired from in 1996 after 32 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Colonie Senior Citizens and Past Secretary of the Watervliet Senior Citizens. Beth loved to travel with her friends on numerous Senior Citizens trips and gathering for dinners before Capital Rep and Curtin Call shows. She was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan, was a co-instructor at Osteoporosis Class at Beltrone and volunteer for Colonie Senior Services.
Beth is survived by her loving children: Brian Finn of Oswego, John (Jan) Finn & Paula (David) Mantey all of Latham, her cherished grandchildren: Casey (Conor) Hughes, Megan Finn & Elizabeth Mantey and her adored Great Granddaughter Cailey Hughes, as well as her brother Fred (Lola) Emery of Washington DC and her brother in law Robert Beeble, she is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
She is predeceased by her Son: William Finn and her Sister: Frances Beeble.
Beth's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday August 12, from 3:00- 6:00 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Colonie Senior Services, 6 Winners Circle, Albany NY 12205
Interment will take place next to her husband and son in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
