Obituary of Winona M. Carey

WINONA M. CAREY Clifton Park- Winona M. Carey, 93 of Clifton Park, beloved wife of John H. Carey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Livingston. Born in Hudson on August 4, 1915, she was the daughter of the late David and Augusta (Moritz) Hasbrouck. Winona married John H. Carey on July 27, 1935 and the two have shared a blessed union of love and devotion for over 73 years. She was a meticulous homemaker tending to her family with great care and concern. She was also a former member of the Hasbrouck Society. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband John include her loving children John H. (Ann) Carey Jr. of Port Charlotte FL, Winona Carey-Quinn of Carrollton, GA., Robert D. (Judie) Carey of Nokomis, FL., Paul M. (Karen) Carey of Cohoes, Peter J. Carey of Cohoes, Marc E. (Sheila) Carey of Albany, and Andrew J. Carey of Colonie as well as her 15 cherished grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her Son in Law David Carhart and Daughter in Law Anne Marie Carey. She cherished in her memory her predeceased daughter Lynne Carhart and son Richard J. Carey. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation with funeral services being private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
