Obituary of Kellyrose Theresa Andrews

KELLYROSE THERESA ANDREWS Niskayuna- Kellyrose Theresa Andrews, age 22, of Niskayuna, NY, died peacefully on June 21, 2011. She was sunshine in high heels and lip-gloss, stunning beauty inside and out who turned heads and lit up the room with her smile and charisma. Born on August 21, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas, Kellyrose burst into life and never stopped racing, charming, celebrating, challenging herself, and leaving the world better for it all. She was smart, artistic, brave, and unique. She was down-to-earth and kind. Kellyrose brought "joie de vive" into every endeavor, from her singing and dancing and volunteering to her passion for football and the New York Jets. Kellyrose spent parts of her childhood in Texas, Chicago, Long Island, and Connecticut, California and upstate NY. Friends everywhere knew her as warm and generous and always willing to help. Family knew her as spunky and adventuresome. She was the apple of her dad's eye. To mom she was the one and only Kelly Belly. Kellyrose cared for her younger siblings like a momma tiger and looked up to her brother TJ. Kelly is the beloved daughter of Tae Wan Andrews (deceased) and Rose Kent; the stepdaughter of Thomas Kelsh; the sister of Tae Andrews, Connor Andrews and Theresa Kent; stepsister of Rhiannon and Liam Kelsh; granddaughter of Harry and Theresa Kent and Lindberg and Sopi Andrews; niece of Ed and Angi Andrews, John and Cathy Kent, Kathleen and Ross Beckwith; cousin of Mary, Edward and Regina Kent, Matthew, Calvin and Quinn Beckwith, and Travis and Rachel Andrews, goddaughter of Lisa Finnegan and Jeff Ralston. She is the mother of the love of her life: Niko Vafiadis, age three, who carries on his mom's legacy along with Niko's father, Nick Vafiadis. The family would like to thank the dedicated, caring staff at Albany Medical Center for the care and support they gave Kelly. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday June 24 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 25 at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Interment will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
