I worked with Kathy for many years and even after she left USDA, we would always try to get together when I visited the Albany District Office. She was such a good person and had a heart of gold. She left a pair of boots in the Albany District Office for me, so when I visited if it snowed and I wasn't prepared, she was looking out for me. I will miss her very much and I know she is at peace. I've had many great memories-riding bikes as young children, going through high school, finding out we worked at the same hospital, partying after work, 35th high school reunion, and subsequent dinners with friends every few months. You will be missed Kathy.

Mike enjoyed Kathy's hospitality when he rehearsed with Rick at their house... she was always happy to have him there and so welcoming! We both enjoyed her company at gigs - Mike and Rick would play and Kathy and I would visit, sharing lots of laughs and great conversation. We will miss her!

Rick, Dave, & Ken, Bob and I are so very sorry. I have lost a wonderful and true friend. From grade school, to high school, and then onto nursing school, and our reconnection later on, I have so many memories I carry deep within my heart. Kathy never put herself first, even when she was sick, for example this summer, she was more worried after we had gotten together that one of us would catch something and then was worried I would pass it on to my grandson. Only Kathy who kept moving along in spite of all the obstacles that kept blocking her way to getting better, would have worried like that. She never fell into the trappings of the materialism of our society today. Talking with her, she was most happy going up to the Adirondacks or to that little spot near Grafton with Rick, getting in the canoe and just enjoying the quiet of nature. Well, my dear friend you are in an eternal place now just like that. I will miss you so much, Godspeed my dear friend. With love, Cindy
