Joan and I are very sorry to hear of the passing of our long time high school and college friend, Ronnie Komar. Ronnie and I were teammates and great friends for many hears in our younger days at Sleepy Hollow High School and St. Michael's College, and I still talk to people about those days and how he was my favorite teammate in football, basketball, and baseball.
Ronnie was an outstanding teammate in all sports and was well liked by everyone who knew him. In fact, we played so well together that the St. Mike's "scout" offered both of us scholarships to play basketball and baseball at their college.
Always a team player, Ronnie was equally talented in all three sports. As a powerful rebounder in basketball, I always remember how he would set up other teammates because of his efforts.
He will never be forgotten by us and is in our prayers. Our deepest condolences to his family.
