Obituary of Joan & Judith Greenwood
Greenwood, Joan and Judith
ALBANY - Our beloved aunts, grandaunts, and great-grandaunts, Joan and Judith Greenwood, both entered into Heaven and eternal life on March 31, 2022. Joan, born in August 1929, and Judith, born in June 1940, were much beloved by all who knew them. They went through school in Albany and found employment there, always living in the home they had shared with their mother and father. Joan worked for the N.Y.S. Department of Motor Vehicles. Judith served as a Latin teacher at Albany High School, where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Throughout their lives, they enjoyed their worship at First Lutheran Church in Albany, vacationing in Cape Cod, and above all, their family. Joan and Judith are survived by their nephew, Robert Harmon Schoneman; their niece, Pamela Petersen; their grandnephews, Anthony, Jeremy, and Heath Petersen; their grandniece Ann McVoy; their great-grandnephews, Gregory, Andrew and Matthew Petersen, and Richie McVoy; and their great-grandniece, Zoey McVoy. A memorial service will be held on May 28, at 11 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church in Albany with Pastor Chilton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home.
