My deepest condolences to Dr Putnams family.
I moved to Florida in 2016 and just found out about Dr Putnams passing.
He was my Cardiologist for many years before I moved.
He was a gentle and caring person and I always looked forward to seeing him.
Thank you for being such a great man.
Rest In Peace.

Dr. Putnam was my favorite doctor in the Capital District since 1991. He was gently thorough and carefully conservative with my care.
My deepest sympathy to his lovely wife and family.
Love to all,

David was a passionate environmentalist. I recall a hiking trip along the Appalachian Trail one weekend about 1974-5 when he filled his backpack with trash to carry out. Amazing! I deeply admired him in medical school. Griff Steel ‘77 UNC SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Dear Family,
Praying that God will give each of you Grace, Peace and Comfort as you face life without this person that I knew from the days of Reynolds High School in Asheville, NC. David was a very special young man, highly motivated, friendly, liked by his peers, teachers, coaches and people of the community.
He was the first winner from our school of the highly coveted Morehead Scholarship that is given at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At the 10th reunion of his class, I knew he had achieved his dream of becoming a doctor and would be one that would be liked and admired. I later found him on Facebook and he became one of my friends, and since his retirement I have enjoyed seeing the pictures of his travels with his wife and visiting their grandchildren, his hiking and just lately I saw where he was enrolled in taking chef classes. He still was the ambitious, inquisitive teenager I knew back in the late "60's as his high school librarian.
I know he will be sorely missed by his friends, neighbors, church, and organizations that he participated in. May God comfort all of you.
Love in Christ,
Ethel Jacobson, Media Specialist at AC Reynolds from Aug. 1963 - Dec. 1998.

Dear Trish and family,
I cannot adequately express in a few words how I feel about your loss. I am forever grateful to you and David for giving me my first job as a cardiologist, all those years ago. David was a mentor, a role model physician, and a friend. He was truly an individual without equal. There have been many times when I wished that we could’ve kept our small practice on Hackett Boulevard. I have never met anyone with so many diverse interests and the ability to multitask like David. He will truly be missed. I pray that God looks over you and your family during this time. And that we can all find solace in happy memories from the past. My sincerest condolences, Sergio
