Dr K as most of us called him was a very talented Neurosurgeon in Watertown NY where I met him working as a nurse. I remember him as being a super nice physician not only to his patients but to nurses as well. He was very respected in this community. Blessing & condolences to family & friends.❤️

The good doctor listened to his patient's mothers. After a pediatrician denied a problem Dr K operated on a three month old in constant pain, opening the soft spot on her skull and realigning her face to symmetry with the extra bone. She is a beautiful mother herself now. Many in the North Country loved him.

I was very saddened to find out about the death of Dr. Krawchenko today. My condolences and prayers are sent to the entire Krawchenko family for your loss. I worked with Dr. Krawchenko as an OR nurse while Dr. Krawchenko was on medical staff at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY. He was not just a perfectionist in his neurosurgical skills but also a genuinely down to earth person who truly loved his patients and always showed concern and compassion to all. He was a great asset to the North Country medical community and I will always hold a dear spot in my heart for him and fond memories of the many times we worked together in the OR. He was a remarkable doctor/surgeon and I pray that he is now at eternal rest and free of pain and suffering as he deserves. RIP Dr.K Sincerely, Vivian Burdick RN

Dr K did surgery on my son and unlike many others who have continued issues after this kind of surgery, he has had no problems. He could have been disabled for the rest of his life but for Dr K's skill. May God bless him and he rest forever in peace.

Dear Family of Dr. K
He was the most awesome person to work with and for. I still work in Neurosurgery locally and so many people ask me about him. He will always be a local legend that took care of people but he did so wether they had insurance or not. I remember a patient with no insurance but needed spine surgery he was a contractor and his church took up a collection and he wanted to give it to Dr K he told him to pay the hospital because he wouldn’t come after him for it. This is the kind of Dr I learned from. He not only practiced with his hands but practiced with his heart. I really will never forget him. Love Patti Shaughnessy

We are crushed to hear of John's death. He was an extraordinarily skilled surgeon, a dedicated caregiver, and a great guy! Working with him while I was in Watertown, I always found him to be a straight shooter who had the interest of his patients front of mind. We have all lost a great friend and talent. Our deepest sympathy!
