Obituary of Catherine H. King

CATHERINE H. KING Colonie-Catherine H. King, 92 of Colonie, beloved wife of the late Frederick C. King, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany with her loving family at her side. Born in Albany on August 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Culligan) Hormovitis. Catherine was a graduate of Cathedral Academy in Albany. A lifelong resident of Colonie she was a former member of the altar-rosary society at Our Lady of Mercy. She loved gardening, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her entire family with all her heart. Survivors include her loving children Sue (Ed) Addis of Deerfield Beach, FL, William C. King of Colonie and Cathleen (Bud) Vogt of Latham, her cherished grandchildren Michelle Maggiore, Colleen Aloise, George Vogt and Lauren Vogt, she is also survived by her 5 adored great grandchildren. Catherine's Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 23, 2017 at 9:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Anthony Barratt officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be next to her beloved husband in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. The family wishes to thank the staff, nurses and doctors of the ICU at St. Peter's Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion given to Catherine during her stay with them.
