Obituary of Jonathan D. Kirk

JONATHAN D. KIRK Troy- Jonathan D. Kirk, 35 of Troy, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany on January 1, 1982, he was the son of Donald J. Kirk Jr. and Lisa S. (Blom) Turnbull both of Albany. Jonathan was a graduate of Colonie Central High School class of 2000 and received his bachelor's degree from Siena College in 2004. He was an Accountant employed by NYS Office of the State Comptroller for over 10 years. Jonathan was a team captain for the American Heart Association Walk for several years. He loved basketball, golf and football and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Duke Blue Devils. His greatest love in life was his family. Survivors in addition to his parents include his loving fiance Francine LaFerriere of Troy and her children Jared Walker and Maria LaFerriere, his dear sister Kristin (Karl) Meehan of Malta, his paternal grandparents Donald J. and Katherine Kirk Sr., his maternal grandmother Susanne Blom as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and his dog Max. He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandfather, William L. Blom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Victory, 55 North Lake Avenue, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Interment will be Memory Garden's in Colonie.
