Obituary of Gail A. Lowe

GAIL A. (RYAN) LOWE Wynantskill- Gail A. (Ryan) Lowe, 66 of Wynantskill, passed away peacefully on Monday December 12, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center, in Valhalla. Born in Albany on January 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Jones) Murphy. Gail was married to Ronald Lowe on July 10, 2016. Gail was employed as an Engineer with Verizon Communications in Albany, retiring in 1997 after 27 years of dedicated service. Gail was an exceptional woman with a big heart and it was with that, that she opened her home to many foster children over the years. She was a loving and caring individual who was always giving of herself to those in need. Gail was the patriarch of her family and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children: Kelly (Tom) Hegney of Glenville, Elizabeth Ryan of Amsterdam, Zamuel Ryan, Takiyah Ryan and Jason Ryan all of Wynantskill. Three cherished grandchildren: Trevor, Tatum and Maycee; as well as her siblings: Lynn Murphy of Albany, Karen McQuade of Watervliet and Robert (Jan) Murphy of CA; special niece: Amanda Holmes and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister: Carol Hebler Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday December 16, 2016 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 noon immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Gail's brother, Robert Murphy officiating.
