NANCY L. LAROW
Latham- Nancy L. LaRow, 74 of Latham, beloved wife of Edward J. LaRow Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Schuyler Ridge in Clifton Park.
Born in Albany on May 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Stella (Kicinski) Jarvis. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute class of 1960 in Albany and received her B.A. from Siena College in 1980. Nancy was married to Edward J. LaRow Sr. and the two have shared a blessed union of love and devotion for 53 years prior to her passing.
Nancy was formerly the director of religious education at St. Joseph's Church, the pastoral manager at St. Ambrose Parish in Latham, pastoral manager at St. Clare's Parish and the founder and director of Circles of Mercy in Rensselaer. She was also an Associate of Sisters of Mercy on New Scotland Avenue in Albany and a longtime communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.
Her life was dedicated to service to the Lord through her many ministries as well as her strong devotion to Mary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, singing and participating in her prayer groups. Nancy has made multiple pilgrimages to Medjugorje, Lourdes and Guadalupe and had an unwavering devotion to her faith.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children: Mary Anne (Timothy) Egan, Edward (JoAnne) LaRow Jr., John (Beth) LaRow and Catherine (Tom) Dawson. Thirteen cherished grandchildren: T.J. (Mari), Ryan, Eddie, Kat, Andrew, Madeline, Kassie, Matthew, Julia, Jonathan, Will, Evangelene and Abby. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie (Syl) Reedy and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister Joan (Andrew) Britt.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Schuyler Ridge for their loving care and support.
Nancy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Archbishop Harry Flynn officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday November 30, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Memorial contributions can be made to Circles of Mercy, 11 Washington Street
Rensselaer, NY 12144
Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
