Obituary of Rebecca Joyce Sheedy

REBECCA JOYCE SHEEDY Latham- Rebecca Joyce Sheedy, 49 of Latham, beloved wife of John P. Sheedy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany. Born in Rome, NY on July 29, 1967, she was the daughter of the late John Lamurey and Mary Ann Hennington. Rebecca was married to John Patrick Sheedy on August 22, 1994 and the two have shared a blessed union of love and devotion for 22 years prior to her passing Rebecca was a loving and dedicated homemaker and her family was the center of her life. In addition to her beloved husband: John, she is survived by her mother: Mary Ann Lamurey, her three cherished children Stephen Sheedy of Latham, Joseph Sheedy of Yukon, PA and Sarah Sheedy of Latham as well as her siblings: Juan (Mary) Lamurey, Cindy (George) Gage, Debbie (Chin) Shah and Teri (Scott) Wedding and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her dog Neiko and Henry cat. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday October 8, 2016 from 12:00-2:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation with Rev. David LeFort officiating.
