Obituary of Janet J. Leto Boni

JANET J. LETO BONI Voorheesville- Janet J. Boni,72, of Voorheesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 19, 2016 at the Community Hospice Inn with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany on January 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Ruth H. (Coetta) Leto. Janet was a loving and dedicated homemaker who tended to her family’s needs with the utmost of care and concern. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. Janet was a dedicated and loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She spent her life spoiling her family with love and devotion. She enjoyed nothing more then playing scratch offs and slot machines, just to win and give it away. Janet gave to her family her everything. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her - and she will be remembered for her smile and laughter, but most importantly her beautiful heart. She is survived by her four loving children: Kim J. (late Kevin) Boni-Phillips of Colonie, John J. (Corina) Boni III of Ballston Spa, Lori A. (Alan) Weloth of Colonie and Janet J. (Michael) Cleary of Voorheesville, as well as her seven cherished grandchildren: Angelina (Ed), Nicholas, Stephanie, Jerry Jr., Michael II, Brittney (Brett) and Alan Jr.; ten adored great grandchildren,several cousins,nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her in-laws Victoria Leto, Neil Luther Sr. and Carmela Martinese. Janet is predeceased by her siblings Joseph Jr., Joan, Patricia, Ronald, Richard, Arnold and Ruth and former husband John J. Boni Jr. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Janet’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 609 Central Avenue, Albany. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany NY 12208 Interment will take place in Memory Garden's Cemetery in Colonie.
