FLORENCE E. BROWN Latham- Florence E. Brown, 86 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany. Her family was by her side at the time of her passing. Born in Troy, on April 21, 1922, she was the son of the late John and Louise Rasmussen. She was joined in union with Floyd N. Brown Sr. and the two had shared a blessed union of 57 years prior to his passing on October 15, 2001. Florence was a meticulous homemaker, her family was the center of her life and she tended to her their needs with the utmost care and concern. She was also an avid and devoted NY Yankee fan, She also had a love for animals. Her survivors include her loving children: daughter: Ellen B. Kelly and her son Floyd (Cindy) Brown Jr. all of Clifton Park and her 5 cherished grandchildren: Todd Kelly, Corey Brown, Kimberly Kelly, Chad Brady and Tyler Brown. Florences family would like to especially thank the staff of the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters and Dutch Manor Nursing Home for the professional care they gave to her during the time spent there. And to her caring neighbors who were always there when she needed them. A celebration of Florences Life will be held Wednesday September 17 at 10:00 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
