GARY J. LOZANO
Latham -Gary J. Lozano, 51 of Latham, beloved husband of Wendy E. Gaffers Lozano, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany, on August 5, 1964, he was the son of the late Waldo A. and the late Margaret (Cairns) Lozano. Gary was a graduate of Shaker high school class of 1982. He married his high school sweetheart Wendy E. Gaffers on May 28, 1988 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. He was a Latham resident for his entire life and employed as a fleet maintenance mechanic for the Town of Colonie for the last 14 years. He was previously the owner and operator of Lozano's Auto Care in Guilderland. Gary had a love of motocross, motorcycles and all types of automobiles. He loved working on cars with his son Joey, watching his son Ryan play baseball and had a very soft spot in his heart for his two girls Sarah and Madison who he referred to as "daddy's little girls".
Survivors in addition to his wife include his cherished children Joey G. Lozano of East Greenbush, Sarah E. Lozano, Ryan A. Lozano and Madison R. Lozano all of Latham, he was the dear brother of James (Mary) Lozano, Sharon Montagne, Mike Lozano, Lynne (Bill) Commisso, Lisa (Dennis) Kruzinski and Erin (John) Odorisio. He is also survived by his canine companions Molly & Jack, his father-in-law John M. Gaffers, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Sally Gaffers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday May 19, 2016 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Gary's uncle Rev. John Cairns officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. .
Interment will be in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
The family would like to thank the nurses and medical I.C.U. at Albany Medical Center especially Stacey, Anna and Marissa for the loving care given to Gary during his stay with them.
