Obituary of M. Ruth Neils

M. RUTH NEILS Latham- M. Ruth Neils, 90 of Latham passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Community Hospice at Memorial Hospital. Born on September 20, 1925 in Troy, Ruth was the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Durant) Morrison. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Malcolm S. Neils who passed away in 2001. Ruth was employed with the North Colonie Central School District for 15 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 as well as the Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star and St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Latham. She is survived by her loving children Catherine Ann (Robert) Hulchanski and Stephen Malcolm Neils Her cherished grandchildren: Stephen Robert Neils and Caryn Ann (Greg) Riscavage, adored great granddaughter Madelyn Rae and her sister Bernice Morrison of Troy She is predeceased by her siblings: Thomas Morrison and David Morrison Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday January 11, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham Funeral Services for Ruth will be celebrated on Tuesday January 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 129 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Pastor Jacob Evans officiating Interment will take place next to her husband at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
