Obituary of Virginia M. Iachetti

VIRGINIA M. IACHETTI Latham- Virginia M. Iachetti, 89 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Ernest Iachetti, passed away peacefully on Monday December 21, 2015 at the Teresian House in Albany. Born January 11, 1926 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alfonsina (DeSiena) DeBonis. She was a graduate of Troy High School. Virginia was married to her love Ernest J. Iachetti on April 20, 1947 and the two shared a blessed union of 67 years prior to his passing on January 17, 2015 Virginia was employed at Siena College in the Business Affairs office for 32 years before retiring in 1987. She was a former auxiliary member of the S.W. Pitts Hose Company in Latham. She also enjoyed golf and wintering with her husband in Bradenton Florida since 1992. Virginia was a communicant of both the original and the new St. Ambrose Church in Latham. She is survived by her loving daughter: Rosemarie (Robert) Rizzo of Latham, her cherished grandchildren Amy (Ron) Remick, Annemarie (Nick) Ihnatolya, Anthony Rizzo, and Andrew Rizzo as well as her adored great grandchildren: Alex and Luke Remick, Patrick, Libby and Emily Ihnatolya and Jayden Rizzo. She is predeceased by her sisters: Yolanda Bobrinitz, Angeline Bottillo and Ann Valentini. Relatives and friends are invited and may call today Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Virginia's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Fr. Anthony Barratt officiating. Interment will take place alongside her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
