EDMUND F. LYNCH
Latham- Edmund F. Lynch, 90 of Latham, beloved husband of Dorothy A. Lynch, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Albany Medical Center with his beloved family at his side.
Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny Lynch. He graduated from St. Agnes School and Cohoes High School. Mr. Lynch married his beloved Dorothy A. Lynch on February 19, 1944 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of 71 years. He served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. Edmund was the recipient of both the Purple Heart and the bronze star for injuries sustained in the battle of Iwo Jima where he served as a Corpsman. After his discharge from the military he continued his education to become a design engineer working at Ford Motor Co. in Green Island for over 33 years retiring in 1986. Ed was predeceased by his son Edmund F. Lynch Jr.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children Carol Marceau of South Carolina and Maureen Rogers of Latham, NY his cherished grandchildren Jennifer Rogers, Scott Rogers, Kimberly Marceau and Alison Pekich, his adored great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Carter and Adelynn Pekich.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. John Cairns officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday November 27 , 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment with full military honors will be next to his son in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
