Obituary of John D. Kartsounas

JOHN D. KARTSOUNAS Latham - John D. Kartsounas, 42, died suddenly Thursday, October 8, 2015 at his home in Cohoes. Born and raised in Jersey City, he was the loving son of Efthymia (Theofilaktos) Kartsounas. John was proud of his Greek Heritage. He was a Chef for many years. John enjoyed gaming on his PC, vaping and playing craps. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and NY Yankee fan. John had a love of fashion and was a great collector of sneakers. He not only loved to cook but he was a great connoisseur of all types of food. One of the greatest joys in his life was the time he spent with his nieces and nephew. His mother and his wife were his world. Family meant everything to him. His brother was his best friend. Survivors in addition to his mother include his beloved wife Catherine Dell'Angelo and her children Aniel, Irene and Sal DellAngelo, his brother Constantine "Dino" and his wife Dietra Kartsounas, his nephew Colin, and nieces Zoie and Anastasia Kartsounas, his uncle Lazarus (Mary) Theofilaktos, as well as several cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 6:30 pm in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Patric Legito officiating.
