CARMEN V. MEDICI SR.
Watervliet- Carmen V. Medici Sr., 76 a lifelong resident of Watervliet, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Watervliet on July 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Cosimo and Marie (Braicciale) Medici. On December 13, 1952 he married the former Barbara Rockwell; the two shared a blessed union of over 55 years together. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Carmen was employed with the department of Defense Revitalization & Marketing Service at the Watervliet Arsenal for 15 years, a position he retired from.
Survivors in addition to his devoted wife include his loving children; Carmen (Karen) Medici Jr. of Latham, Cindy Ann (Ronald) Branch of Malta, Vincent (AnnMarie) J. Medici and Victor (Kimberly) C. Medici both of Latham. His brother Anthony Medici of Watervliet, as well as 12 cherished grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his 3 Sisters; Dorothy Melite, Antoinette Liburdy, Mary Colarusso.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham where Carmen's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Francis Dubois.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Carmen's memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 6 Automation Lane, Albany NY 12205
Interment will take place in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
