Obituary of Edward F. Drago

EDWARD F. DRAGO Colonie- Edward F. Drago, 64, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday August 21, 2015 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in the Bronx on December 22, 1950, he was the son of the Mary Ann Juhase of Albany and the late Francis "Babe" J. Drago. He was a graduate of Philip Schuyler School and SUNY-Albany. Ed was married to the former Nadine A. Sheyon. Ed was the State Director of Apprenticeship Training with the NYS Department of Labor in Albany and is currently a consultant for various unions. Ed was always helping his friends with projects. He loved his wife and family and his home deeply. In addition to his beloved wife Nadine, and his mother Mary Ann, he is survived by his loving children: Edward Drago Jr. of Albany, Christie (Brett) Hoyt of Middlegrove and Alicia Sherman of Latham. He is also survived by his siblings: RoseAnn Brown of Guilderland, Carol Frost of Albany, Barbara Drago of Loudonville and Dorianne (Scott) Blanchard of Guilderland as well as his mother in law, Anna Sheyon and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday August 25, 2015 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Ed's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Fr. Arthur Toole officiating.
