Obituary of Marie M. DeLaughter

MARIE M. DELAUGHTER Scranton PA- Marie M. DeLaughter, formerly of Latham, passed away in peace on Friday August 14, 2015 at Holy Family Residence in Scranton PA. Born November 12, 1926 in Brooklyn, She was the daughter of the late Harry and Marie (Kleid) Hamm. Marie was a former resident of Otisville, NY for many years before moving to Latham in 1991. While in Otisville, she was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, where she was a past Eucharistic minister, Religious Ed teacher, Parish Council member, Trustee, Liturgy Committee member and involved in the Altar Rosary Society. In Latham, Marie was also a past Eucharistic Minister & Religious Ed teacher as well as the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Survivors include her loving children: Kathy (Bob) Cromie of TN, Kevin (Maureen) DeLaughter of Essex, NY and Karen (Russ) Williams of Westbrookville NY; 7 cherished grandchildren: Keith, Scot, Dan, Jesse, Sam, Karuss and Russell, 5 adored great grandchildren as well as her siblings: Joan Gray of Murfreesboro TN and John Sidbury. She is predeceased by her beloved sons: Chris & Robert Bryan DeLaughter, her sister Dolores Oehley and brother Gerard Hamm. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 45 Highland Ave, Otisville, NY. Interment will take place in Holy Name Cemetery, Otisville.
