VIOLET T. DISISTO
Loudonville - Violet T. DiSisto, 87 of Loudonville, beloved wife of Daniel R. DiSisto Sr. for the last 65 years, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital, in Albany.
Born and educated in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Agnes (Blair) Larive. Mrs. Violet married her beloved husband Daniel R.DiSisto Sr. on June 22, 1943 and the two have shared a blessed union of love & friendship for 65 years. She was a Sewing Machine Operator, employed by Troy District Shirt Company in Cohoes, for several years until retiring in the mid 1970s
She was a member of the Bright Horizons group and enjoyed Bingo. Vi was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her cherished children Daniel R. DiSisto Jr. of White Creek, and Mary Lou Cepiel of Loudonville, her two sisters Edna Frank of Cohoes and Agnes Lanoue of Cohoes. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at Our Lady Of The Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
