JOHN V. GROCHAN SR. Loudonville- John V. Grochan Sr., 84 of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, in Albany. Born in Canaan NY on February 24, 1924, he was the son of the late Valentine and Bertha (Fox) Grochan. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II in Europe. John was an Owner and Operator of Salon 41 on State Street in Albany; He retired from his business after a long and prosperous career at the age of 80. John is survived by his partner of 46 years Barry Deixler of Loudonville; his two sons: John (Sue) V. Grochan Jr. of Pelham, NH, and Mark (Beverly) Grochan of East Nassau, NY. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Jennifer Smallwood, Ashley Gorchan, Abigail Jensky, and John V. Grochan III, as well as his sister Mildred Mittnight of Pittsfield, MA He is predeceased by his Brother, Walter Grochan In keeping with Johns wishes there will be no visitation.
