ROBERT T. MacLAREN SR.
Latham - Robert T. MacLaren Sr., 89 of Latham, beloved husband of the late Lillian R. Schmitz.MacLaren, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy.
Born and educated in Troy, he was son of the late Walter and Blanche (Prince) MacLaren. He served his country during World War II as a Corporal in the U.S. Air Force from Nov. 21, 1942 to Sept. 22, 1945 stationed in France and England. Bob was a Machinist employed by the Watervliet Arsenal for many years, until retiring in 1982 at the age of 62. He was married to his beloved wife Lillian for over 44 years prior to her passing in 1994.
Survivors include his loving son Robert T. MacLaren Jr. of Latham, his brother-in-law, Anthony Schmitzand brother-in-law, Richard Marriner, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 29, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be next to his wife in Our Lady of Angels Cemeter in Colonie.
