Anna Kobylar Obituary

ANNA KOBYLAR Cohoes- Anna Kobylar, 90 of Cohoes, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Julie Blair Nursing Home, in Albany. Born and raised in Cohoes for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Christine (Kopcha) Kobylar. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Cohoes where she was active in the choir and the R-Club. Anna was employed by Behr-Manning in Watervliet in Production, a position she retired from in 1981 after over 30 years. Anna was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed to cook her favorite meals for her family and friends. She is survived by her sisters: Julia (Joseph) Talar of CA, Mary (Zachary) Zendran of Stillwater and three brothers: Samuel (Angeline) Kobylar of Cohoes, Michael (Katherine) Kobylar of Waterford, and John (Mary) Kobylar of Waterford as well as 12 nieces and a nephew and several great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister: Rose Peplowski, and her nephew Theodore Kobylar. Annas Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday March 29 at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 67 Saratoga St., Cohoes. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 5-8 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. A Parastas service will be held at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Annas name to the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 67 Saratoga St., Cohoes, NY 12047 Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Latham.
