I had the pleasure of meeting Joe while working at the NYS Department of Civil Service. Once Joe found out that my family and I were going to vacation in Maine, his eyes lit up as he suggested various places to visit...The Norseman Resort, Paras Pizza, miniature golf, and Mike's Clam Shack, to name a few, as well as suggesting taking a drive past The Wentworth By the Sea Hotel in Portsmouth, NH once he heard we were headed to Hampton Beach. However, as much as he enjoyed discussing Maine and the Red Sox, in talking with Joe, one could see his real love and utmost importance was none other than his wife and children. It was clear that he could not do enough for them. My sincere sympathy is sent to all of you at such a tragic time and I pray that time will heal your hurt and tears.

Both my sister, Carol and I worked with Joe at the NYS Department of Civil Service. He was always a pleasure to work with. We are both saddened to hear of his premature death. We know how excited he was about buying a home and how much he cared for his family. Our condolances.

I remember Joe when he was going out with my daughter and took her to her first prom.I myself have grown up from chidhood knowing the Kochian family from way back. My thoughts and prayers will always be with him and may he rest in eternal peace.

You were a dear friend Joe and even though we lost touch over the years.I'll always remember Junior Prom and Prom Court. I still have the photos. I know you are now in a much better place in heaven watching down over your loving family and your friends. May God bless your soul and give strength to those you left behind to go on without your physical presence here on earth. You will always remain alive as long as they keep you so in their hearts.
