SUSAN J. GORMAN Latham- Susan J. Gorman, 57, a longtime resident of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 31, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Troy on June 13, 1950, Susan was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Betty M. (Fahl) Gorman Jr. She was a 1968 graduate of Shaker High School and then received her associate degree in Court Reporting from the Spencer Business Institute. Susan was employed with the NYS Office of Budget in the Governors office as a Clerk in Albany for over 20 years, a position from which she retired from. She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Latham. Susan truly loved her family and her life revolved around her nieces and nephews who meant the world to her. She was the loving sister of Alice (Donald) Fitch of Latham, Kim (Doreen) Gorman and Keith (Kathleen) Gorman both of Troy, Sister in law of Zayneh Gorman of Latham, as well as her nieces and nephews; Tara (Jay) Mentes, Joseph A. (Lisa) Gorman, Robert (Janet) Gorman, Shawn Bosko, Joshua Gorman, Bryan Gorman, & Kathleen M. Gorman. and her cousin William (Deborah) Simard and several grand nieces and nephews. Susan is predeceased by her Brother: Joseph A. Gorman III A celebration of Susans life will be held on Monday February 4 at 10:00 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 pm Memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association 1 Marcus Boulevard, Albany, NY 12205 Interment will take place in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
