MICHAEL A. DAUPHINAIS SR.
Latham- Michael A. Dauphinais, Sr., 74, of Latham, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital, in Troy.
Born in Troy NY on January 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Armand and Alida (Pruneau) Dauphinais. He was a 1951 graduate of Troy High School as well as HVCC with a degree in Industrial Electronics. It was on June 29, 1957 that Michael married the former Nancy G. Fera; and the two shared a blessed union of 50 years prior to his passing. Michael proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955 as well as the Army Reserves until 1961.
Michael was employed as a Machinist and Quality Control Inspector for the Watervliet Arsenal, a position from which he retired from in 1990 after 26 years of service. He also enjoyed the sport of hunting & fishing as well as gardening and music and was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Mike will always be remembered as having an engaging personality and a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors in addition to his beloved wife are his children; Alida Robert, Michael (Karen) Dauphinais, Jr., Marytheresa Galante, Nicholas (Crystal) Dauphinais, David (Kirsten) Dauphinais, Matthew (Kimberly) Dauphinais, 17 cherished grandchildren, 2 great grandchild, his brother: Paul Dauphinais and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister Marcella Schlegel and brother John Dauphinais.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 22 at 9:00 am from St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, where Michaels Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Francis Dubois.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham on Friday from 4-7 P.M.

Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
