EDWINA M. LAHEY Malta- Edwina M. Lahey, 78 of Malta, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Saratoga Hospital, in Saratoga Springs. Born in Newburgh NY on February 6, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (McGrath) Riley. Edwina was raised in Beacon most of her life and was a 1946 graduate of Beacon High School She was joined in marriage to the late Martin J. Lahey Jr. The two shared a loving union prior to his passing in 1990. Edwina was employed at one time as a secretary with the Texaco Corp in the 1950s. She then took employment as a secretary for the City of Beacon Police Department in the 60s. And during the 80s and 90s was a secretary for the Fishkill National Bank, a position from which she retired from. Survivors include her loving children; Mark (Barbara) Lahey of Latham and Karen Lahey of Wilton. She is also survived by her 3 cherished grandchildren Katie, Patrick, and Meg Lahey. Funeral Services will be held Monday September 10, 2007 at 8:15 am form the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham and at 9:00 am from the St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, where Edwinas Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Francis DuBois Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at St. Marys Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
