JANE SKINNER
Watervliet- Jane Skinner, 50 of Watervliet, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy with her cherished family at her side.
Born in Troy on May 27, 1965, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Caroline (Armstrong) Caulfield. Jane was married to the love of her life Scott Skinner on June 29, 1991 and the two shared a devoted union of 24 years prior to her passing.
She loved being able to stay at home and raise her beautiful daughters and share her life stories with them as they grew. Jane then became the Confidential Secretary with the Albany County Coroner's Office where she treated all the families she came in contact with much compassion. She was well known for her amazing chocolate chip cookies. Some of her most treasured times were the times with her family at her "heaven on earth" in the Adirondacks.
In addition to her beloved husband Scott, she is survived by her loving children Kate (Jared) Paul of Orlando FL, Melissa Skinner and Sarah Skinner both of Watervliet. Her cherished grandson Jared Jr. who was born 5 days ago July 10, her sisters and best friends Cathy (Carl) Fruscio, Helen (late Dan) Budka and Margaret (Tim) Cavanaugh all of Watervliet, her mother-in-law Virginia Skinner, brother-in-laws William Mitchell and Doug Skinner, her sister-in-law Patricia Lessard. Jane is also survived by her many loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, July 20, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the JDRF, for the family's long support 950 New Loudon Rd #330, Latham, NY 12110.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Weissman and the Nurses of 5-south at St. Mary's Hospital for the love and care given to Jane during her illness.
