CATHERINE ANNE CIOFFI Latham- Catherine Anne Cioffi, 70 of Latham formerly of Troy, entered into eternal life Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. Sr. and Mary (Uzzo) Cioffi . Catherine was a graduate of St. Peter's Academy in Troy and attended Catholic Central High School. She was employed by the NYS Dept. of Taxation & Finance for over 38 years until retiring in 1995. Catherine was a longtime volunteer at Our Lady of Hope Residence in Latham. She was a member of the Troy Senior Center, the C.S.E.A. and the Tax Alumni Club. She lived most of her life in Troy and moved to Latham in 2006. Survivors include her cherished twin sister Theresa M. Cioffi of Latham, and her niece Mary Jo Cioffi of Cohoes, her two aunts Theresa Fox of Latham and Cora Solomon of Troy. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony J. Cioffi Jr. She is also survived by several cousins. Catherine's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Chapel 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane Latham, with Rev. Firmin Finn officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at Our Lady of Hope on Sunday (today) from 4-7 p.m. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum in Troy.
