Obituary of Lucille M. Baan

LUCILLE M. BAAN Colonie- Lucille M. Baan, 72 of Colonie, entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marguerite (Bouchard) Turcotte. She was a graduate of St. Mary's school for deaf in Buffalo. Lucille worked for Behr-Manning Co. in Watervliet as a keypunch operator for many years retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Capital District Deaf Center, the Northeast Deaf Senior Citizens, the Mohawk Seniors and the Albany Silent Club. Lucille was a member of the Rome Alumni Association, NYS School for Deaf. She was bowling league champion from 1991 until 1995. Lucille loved her family, friends, sewing, cooking, history, holiday decorating and her Buffalo School. Survivors include her special friend Paul E. Bayba of Colonie, her brothers Thomas N. (Frances) Turcotte and Deacon Arthur (Betsy) Turcotte, a special niece Diane (Richard) Thompson, two children, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nephews and cousins. She was also pre-deceased by her husband of 34 years Stephen Baan and several aunts and uncles. Latham on Wednesday morning April 1, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at 12:00 noon in Christ Our Light Church 1 Maria Drive Loudonville.
