WALTER F. KLEE Latham - Walter F. Klee, 81, of Latham, beloved husband of the late Joanne T. Murray Klee, entered eternal life Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy and Siena College in Loudonville in 1951 with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran serving in Europe. Walt was a accounts Manager for Campbell Soup Company from 1952-1988. He received nine merit awards from Campbell's and was inducted into their hall of fame in 1972. He married his beloved Joanne T. Murray in 1954 and she passed away in 1988. He was a life member of the Latham Colonie K of C Council #3394, where he served as the financial secretary for over 40 years. Walt was a life member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 and served as Exalted Ruler from 1973 until 1974. He was a member of the Campbell Retiree Club, the American Legion Post #1450. He was also a life member of the V.F.W. Post 7411 and the B.P.O.E. Past Exalted Rulers Association. Survivors include his loving children Karen Coffey, Karyl (Mike) Clementi, Kathe (Tom) Swanson, David (Lori) Klee, Richard Klee and Steven Klee, he is also survived by 8 cherished grandchildren and 3 adored great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 21, at 11:30 am in Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
