MARY S. BOGDANOWICZ
Latham - Mary S. Bogdanowicz, 89 of Latham, beloved wife of Eric F. Bogdanowicz, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.
Born and educated in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Dmitri and Tekla (Dudek) Saluga. She married her beloved Eric F. Bogdanowicz April 24, 1949 and the two celebrated 65 years of marriage last year. Mary was a graduate of Maplewood elementary school and Watervliet High School.
She was a Bank Teller, employed by State Bank of Albany for many years. Mary was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed singing, opera music, cross word puzzles and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children Christine (Richard) White of Clifton Park, Eric "EJ" Bogdanowicz of South Glens Falls, Lisa (Bill) Boland of Loudonville, Carol (David Rattray) Bogdanowicz of Clifton Park and Steven M.(Christine) Bogdanowicz of Ithaca. Cherished grandmother of Eric M. and Katherine White, Erika and Andrew Bogdanowicz, Jake, Maggie and Michael Boland and Madeleine Rattray. Great-grandmother of Peyton and Elijah Studler. Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen Kawola, Michael Saluga and Ann Scott
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held celebrated on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
Interment St. Nicholas Ukrainian Cemetery in Colonie.
