Obituary of Dorothy G. Arnold

Loudonville- Dorothy G. Arnold, 87, a current resident of Loudonville Assisted Living Residence passed away peacefully on Monday November 3, 2014 at Community Hospice at Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Born in Troy on February 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Adelaide Arnold. She was a graduate of Troy High School and the NYS College for Teachers in Albany.
Dorothy was a Computer System Analyst in the Turbine Division at General Electric in Schenectady for her entire career that started in 1950, until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the SUNY Albany Alumni Club and the G.E. Retirees and Bowling Clubs.
She is survived by her Niece: Nancy (Brian) W. Webb of Loudonville and her Nephew: James Arnold as well as her Great nieces and Nephews: Carolyn Dion, Brenda Redcross, Diane Webb, David Wagner and Steven Webb and her predeceased nephew's wife Christine Wagner.
Dorothy is predeceased by her siblings: Marguerite Wagner, Elizabeth Messina and John, James and Charles Arnold as well as her nephews James Wagner and Michael Arnold.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice at Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care they gave to Dorothy.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 10:00-11:30 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110.
Funeral services will be celebrated for Dorothy on Thursday at 11:30 am immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor John Phillippe officiating
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110
Interment will take place in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy at the convenience of the family.
