Latham- Jadviga Keiriss, 91, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Viktors Keiriss, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 31, 2014 at St. Peters Hospital in Albany. . Born June 29, 1923 in Latvia, Jadviga was the daughter of the late Piters and Monica (Sicans) Poikans. She was married to Viktors Keiriss in 1954 and the two shared a blessed union of over 57 years prior to his passing in 2007. Jadviga was a loving and dedicated homemaker, who enjoyed her home and she was also an avid gardener. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham for many years. She is survived by her special friends and neighbors on Eberle Road. Jadviga is predeceased by her siblings in Latvia. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Interment will take place next to her beloved Viktors in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.
