Obituary of Julia Talar

Vallejo- Julia Talar 93, of Vallejo CA, formerly of the Capital District, and beloved wife of Joseph M. Talar, entered into eternal life on Thursday July 24, 2014 in Novato CA. Born in Cohoes, New York on July 1st 1921, Julia was the daughter of the late Theodore and Christine (Kopcha) Kobylar. She married her beloved Joseph Talar on September 7, 1947, cherishing 66 years of marriage before her passing. Julia was a former member of the "R" Club, Woman's Altar Guild and the St. Nicholas Church Choir. She was a devoted Mother, wife and grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. Survivors include her beloved husband Joseph, loving daughters, Christine Erlach of California (husband Ray) and Diane Hamilton of Georgia( husband Dave), her cherished grandchildren David, (wife Deb), Christopher(wife Brianne), Amanda(husband Weston), and Nicole, Great Grandmother to Ava and Chloe. Julia was the dear sister of Mary Zendran, Samuel, Michael and John Kobylar. Julia had been predeceased by her sisters Rose Peplowski and Anna Kobylar. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday July 30, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham. with the Parastas service taking place at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday July 31 at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 67 Saratoga Street, Cohoes with Fr. Terry Wasielewski officiating. Interment will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Latham.
