I will miss Don and cherish his memory. He was a true patriot who lived an exemplary life full of honor, integrity, courage, service and love. He was totally committed to his family and still had time to offer his service to his church and community. I've heard it said that, "If you want to see how true a person was to his ideals, look to his children." Anyone who knows his children and sees what wonderful people they became, will understand how rock solid Don was in living and modeling his ideals. He is a shining example of our "Greatest Generation". A side note: Don would have loved the idea of making a donation in his memory to The Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers. I want to extend my condolences to the entire Ryan family. Mr. Ryan was my Little League coach and also an avid fan of the Nisky basketball team that I played on. He was a good man and I always remember him encouraging me in a positive way.
