SHIRLEY M. MOLLOY Albany- Shirley M. Molloy, 68 of Albany, beloved wife of the late Arthur Molloy, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Community Hospice at St. Mary's, in Troy. Born in Shickshinny PA on February 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Rena (Cragle) Shaw. Upon graduating from high school she took a position as a secretary with NASA in Washington DC. She then was employed with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as the Secretary of the Institute for 23 years. She retired from RPI in 1999. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham where she was part of the Prime Timers of Calvary UMC, as well as a volunteer and usher at Proctor's Theatre and a volunteer and member of the Board of Trustees for the Troy Children's Museum. Shirley is survived by 4 stepchildren, several step grandchildren as well as her 4 brothers; Mervin Shaw, Kenneth Shaw and Carl Shaw all of PA. and Keith Shaw of Texas and several loving nieces and nephews and many special and caring friends. She is predeceased by her 2 sisters Doris Roeschen and Muriel Whitebread. Latham NY 12110 Graveside services will take place on Tuesday March 10 at 12:00 noon at Bloomingdale Cemetery in Shickshinny, PA. with Pastor Gail Kitchen officiating.
