ZAVEN N. BALIAN Albany- Zaven N. Balian, 89 of Albany, beloved husband of Anahid "Ann" Guzelimian, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Community Hospice at Memorial Hospital, in Albany. Born in Cairo, Egypt on June 24, 1924, he was the son of the late Nishan and Youghaper (Bedian) Balian. Zaven was married to Anahid "Ann" Guzelimian and the two shared a blessed union of love and devotion of 59 years this past May 1. Zaven was employed with Montgomery Ward in Albany for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He had a love for photography and enjoyed camera collecting. He also enjoyed gardening and was a member of Holy Cross Church in Troy. In addition to his beloved wife Ann, he is survived by his loving daughter: Sylvia (Garo) Osganian of Montreal Canada and his cherished grandchildren; Jennifer (Eric) Attard, Marlene (Jesse) Fournier and three great grandchildren; Siena, Roman and Delphine Attard.
