MARGARET LOZANO
Latham- Margaret "Peg" Lozano, 69 of Latham, died suddenly Monday, March 2, 2009.
Born July 21st, 1939 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Dunn Cairns of Latham.
She was a lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Peg was a 1957 Graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany and received her Nursing degree from Hudson Valley Community College. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. For 20 of those years served as a hospice nurse at St. Peter's Hospital. She was currently a real estate agent for Tech Valley Homes in Loudonville. She was an avid Siena College basketball fan. Peg devoted her life to helping others and was never too busy to help a friend in need. She was a friend of Bill W.
Survivors include her loving children Jim (Mary)Lozano , Sharon ( John) Montagne, Mike Lozano, Gary (Wendy)Lozano, Lynne (Bill) Commisso of Cicero, NY, Lisa (Dennis) Kruzinski and Erin (John) Odorisio of Germantown, Maryland. Her siblings Father Jack Cairns, Sister Patricia Cairns CSJ, Tom Cairns and Robert Cairns. Peg was a cherished grandmother of 19 soon to be 20 grandchildren; Christopher (CJ) Lozano, Kasey Lozano, Mackenzie Lozano, Taylor Montagne, Connor Montagne, Brendan Montagne, Justin Montagne, Nicholas Lozano, Andrea Lozano, Joe Lozano, Sarah Lozano, Ryan Lozano, Madison Lozano, William Commisso, Nick Commisso, Michaella Commisso, Dennis Kruzinski, Leah Kruzinski, Devan Kruzinski and baby Odorisio due in July. She is also survived by her former husband Wally Lozano. Nothing meant more to Peg than to be with her grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday March 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
In lieu of flowers Peg's family would like donations to the Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
