ROBERT T. CESARE
Loudonville-Robert T. Cesare, 66 of Loudonville, beloved husband of Francesca Pontari Cesare, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Stratton VA Medical Center, in Albany with his loving family at his side.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Vincent and Arlene (Cronnin) Cesare. He was a graduate of Shaker High School Class of 1965. Bob married the love of his life Francesca Pontari October 14, 1967 at Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Latham. He served his country during The Vietnam War in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968 as a foot-soldier, paratrooper and radio transmitter operator. Bob was currently employed at Mangino Buick in Ballston Spa. He was a Latham resident for many years as well as Clifton Park and has resided in Loudonville for the last two years. Bob was an avid reader and loved movies and music. He was a member of the Halfmoon American Legion Post, the Vietnam Veterans, Wounded Warriors Project and Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving daughters Michele (Christoper) Campbell of Vermont and Angela (John Ferris) of Latham. His pride and joy grandchildren Joshua Cesare, Alayne Campbell, Maiya Cesare, Kaleigh Campbell and Emma Campbell, his brother David Cesare of Vermont, and his family Teresa (Robert) Mouqin, Antonio (Carmela) Pontari, Nina Caridi, Brigida Bulmer, Antonino (Ann Marie) Pontari, Natale (Laurie) Pontari, Michael (Mary) Pontari, Leo Pontari, Joseph (Heidi) Pontari.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment with full military honors will be in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
