Obituary of Erika Coggeshall

ERIKA COGGESHALL Troy- Erika Coggeshall, 58 of Troy, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday December 7, 2013 at Community Hospice at Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1955 in Troy. She is the daughter of Diane (Seekamp) Hartnagle and the late Paul Coggeshall, and stepdaughter of the late Allen Hartnagle. Erika was always a caretaker, even during the ups and downs of her lengthy illness, which she battled with great strength and a radiant attitude. Her physical presence may be missed, but her positive energy will always be with those she loved. Erika will be remembered for her passion for music, amazing sense of humor, love of all animals, and unending devotion to her family and friends. Erika is survived by her husband; David L. Sies of 14 years, her children; Jon Michael Staude, Serafina Porto, and Apolonia Porto all of Troy, sister of Paula Coggeshall of Cohoes, Debra (Hartnagle) Graves of Cohoes, Freida (Coggeshall) Balavage of Florida, Debra (Coggeshall) Willis of Florida, Paul Coggeshall of California and stepmother Yvonne (Kemmler) Coggeshall of Georgia. Friends and family are welcome to come and celebrate Erika's life, which will take place on Sunday December 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
